Header
One of the things I really want to do with the visual refresh is to simplify navigation and make it more consistent. Originally, it was designed to mimic Facebook Photos as much as possible. This didn’t work out too well, partly because the Facebook design wasn’t very good, but mostly because Flickr is organized differently.
That being said, the design has to match Facebook in some way. FP has been using what Facebook calls the “media header”, but with your Flickr buddy icon instead of your Facebook picture. The problem is, with the new Facebook design, it looks pretty terrible.
Facebook has updated the look for their own photos app, but they haven’t updated it for any developer apps. So I’m left to come up with some other sort of header for FP.
